Moon Light and Roses (barn name Sophia) is a 2007 Half Arabian, dappled Buckskin mare. Except for a faint snip on her nose, she has virtually no white markings. Her rich golden color is dramatically set off by her black mane and contrasting points. Sophia is Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes Nominated. She is out of the exotic mare Emotion VF who was bred by the Radmachers; breeders of the immortal Fame VF. Emotion VF is by the Port Bask son, Fflyte. Her dam was by Bey Shah and out of a Raffon++ daughter. Arabian breeders will recognize this breeding as the extraordinarily pretty and popular fashion of the early 1990’s. Out crossing these intense Arabian lines to Raleighs Full Moon has produced an outstanding individual. Sophia has big eyes, a long neck and gorgeous body. She has the calm temperament to make an outstanding show or pleasure horse. Shown here as a four year old and in training with Natural Horsemanship enthusiast, Brian Seifert. Later she is shown under saddle with trainer Arleah Fields and finally with her new owner, Amie.
